Beaded Christmas Baubles Workshop

Learn how to make a bead embroidered bauble. These are worked onto a stuffed fabric base, which I supply on the day. I also provide a pattern so that you can make your own later. You can follow the pattern, and/or learn how to make your own fabric cabochons to work around and add beads, cords and little flowers in festive colours - the possibilities are endless.

Button Dolls and Angels Workshop

Years ago, these character dolls were sometimes known as "keyhole dolls", as their bodies are the shape of keyholes. They have arms and legs made of buttons, or you can also make them from beads. I will provide bodies, ready stitched, in 2 different sizes, included in the fee. The large doll is approx. 10 inches (25cm) long, and the small one is 5½ inches (15cm). You will need buttons, fabrics, trims etc – you can bring your own, or I will have some for sale. A pattern will be provided for you to make more at home – they can be very addictive!

Felt Brooches Workshop

These brooches make lovely gifts – learn how to make them, and vary the patterns to make a range of different ones. Threads and enough felt will be included, in a choice of approx. 30 colours of beautiful wool mix felt. Bring your own buttons, beads etc or I will have some for sale. Brooch backs for 2 pieces will also be included.

Altered Vases Workshop

Turn a really plain vase into a wonderful creation! Learn how to cover any vase and then embellish it with cords, wires, threads, beads, shells, fir cones – the list is endless! These are really fun to do and quite addictive! A list of requirements will be provided prior to the workshop but I will have a selection of beads, embellishments and other requirements for sale. Basic patterns and guidance are given. No two will ever be the same. Full-colour hand-outs with detailed instructions provided. Several pieces will be on show as inspiration.

Shabby Chic Brooches Workshop

Learn how to make these lovely brooches from pieces of antique lace, trimmings, beads and print-outs on fabric etc. Fabric printouts will be included in the fee, along with brooch backs for 2 pieces. Pieces of broken vintage costume jewelly can be used, also single beads, tiny fabric flowers or bows. I will have beads, trimmings etc for sale on the day.
